Color Striped Covered Soup Bowl or Little Cassarole

Ask a question

The bowl and cover is made from a smooth, buff colored stoneware clay. The stripes, inside the bowl and outside, on the cover, were painted with multiple colors of slip. Yellow, orange, green and brown. The pot and cover were coated with a silica clear glaze

The pot is 6 inches in dia. and 4 inches high to the top of the cover. It holds 14 ozs and weighs 1lb.-3oz. without packing.

We use similar bowls in our kitchen. The following is a very quick winter lunch recipie:
The soup recipie, roughly....tuna or some meat, 2 heaping tablespoons of tomato or pizza sauce, 1 heaping tablespoon of salsa (I'm a wimp. I use mild), then 1 tablespoon of a choice of or all of cooked pasta, soaked lentils, quick barley. Then fill the rest with vegies of your choice. I've found frozen peppers and onions to be good. Then fill the bowl to your taste with unsalted beef, chicken or vegetable broth and then nuke 2m 10s, which works for our microwave.

I will accept returns sent back in original packaging, and insured for the full value within 10 days. I will not refund the return postage costs.

HANDMADE ITEMS: Please remember that each item listed is individually, hand-made. Therefore, there will be no two items that are the same, even in a set, each item will be unique and slightly different. I take pictures that show the good and not so good stuff about my pottery. LOOK AT THE PICTURES! I try to show all sides, inside and the base.

MY OTHER WEB-SITE: is another Etsy site, created on Etsys Pattern format. If your inclined for more info and a different look, go there. I also have a blog on that site which may interest a few.

SALES TAX: At this time, I am not sure what tax I must include. If orders are placed from Massachusetts, you can assume that the tax is included in the published total and I will pay the tax.

DISCOUNTS I offer a 20%, minimum discount on repeat orders.

Etsy, as far as i can tell, doesn't make exchanges easy. Etsy tracks my inventory digitally. I cant exchange an item after it has shipped. The website doesn't seem to be able to handle a price difference for an exchange. If you wish to exchange before an item is shipped, I can cancel the order and give you a refund. Then, if you wish, you can order the item you want, or not.

If an item is ordered, but not shipped, just contact me and I'll issue a cancellation. No problem. IF THE ITEM IS SHIPPED...PROBLEM. In that case it gets complicated. Please read my descriptions to determine you are ordering what you actually want. I try to take care with the descriptions so a buyer will know what they are buying.

CUSTOM ORDER: I will consider custom projects. Please contact me with your interests. I am reluctant to do this as the expectations on appearance vary and many times cant be matched.

SPECIAL ORDER TURN AROUND...2 months, minimum. For special should understand about my process. Pottery is made on a potters wheel or handbuilt, WET. The pieces are then finished...handles, covers, spouts, etc It must be dried. For each item or group of items made, it takes up to a week to dry. It takes a month to accumulte enough ware fo a bisk firing. Then the bisk ware must be glazed. This process stops all wheel production (for me, a one person shop) while the bisk is glazed. This, at best takes another month. If someone asks if i can make and fire just their Kilns do not fire well even 1/2 full.
