The tankard is of the style used in the 19th century. It uses stoneware clay and glazes that are of the type used in the US, Canada and Europe.
The tankard is formed on a wheel and is made of a buff colored stoneware clay. The glazes used are a glossy tan glaze using rutile and iron for colorants for the inside glaze. The outside glaze is a dark glossy brown like "the little brown jug". The glaze has a lot of iron.
The measures for the tankard are, the diameters 3-1/2inches at the top. It is 5 inches in height. The tankard holds 17oz, al little more than a pint. It weighs 1 lb without packing
