The cup is made from white stoneware clay. Shamrock-stamped sprigs were put on both sides of the mug after the wheelwork. Green underglaze was added to the detail on the sprigs. Clear glaze was painted over the sprigs followed by wax resist. Then the outside was dunked in my floating blue glaze which refuses to fire blue. I expected it to fire green which it did. The inside is brush painted with a gloss rutile glaze with a buff, tan color. The cup is food safe, microwave-safe, is 4 inches high x 4 inches dia, and weighs 1 lb without packing. The cup holds 16 oz filled to the rim.
Look at the pics carefully. There is a small bare spot in the glaze over the handle. The price is reduced because of this fault.
