The honey pot is made from buff stoneware. Stripes are underglaze painted as thinly as my old hands could manage on the jar and cover. Wax resist was used over the stripes. The jar has several coats of rutile, gloss glaze. It looks simple but bright. The jar is food and microwave-safe. I bought the dipper on Amazon. The stoneware, underglaze, and rutile overglaze is food- and microwave-safe, although you wouldn't want to microwave a honey jar.

The jar is 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. It holds 8oz and weighs 9 oz without packing.
