The stoneware open cassarole dish was made on a potters wheel and reshaped to be rectangular. Spiral wound handles were made and attached. It was bisk fired then glazed with a floating blue glaze and fired to stoneware temperatures. It's distinctive. Actually anything handmade is distinctive, so that can't be claimed but it is distinctive. The varigated glaze is lusturous and it shines in the light. I don't do many reshaped pieces like this.
It measures 9" x 7-5/8" x 3-1/4" and weighs 3lbs.
